Privacy policy

This policy covers the whole of Make in Bulk at makeinbulk.com (“the site”, “we”, “us”). Contact: hello@makeinbulk.com.

The short version

• The files, spreadsheets and text you use in our tools are processed entirely in your web browser. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
• There are no accounts. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
• Some tools remember your settings (not your data) in your browser so a refresh doesn't lose your work. The PDF to Excel converter saves nothing at all.
• The site shows adverts from Google AdSense, which may use cookies. You can opt out of personalised ads.

Details for each tool

Each tool has its own policy describing exactly what it saves in your browser and which open-source libraries it loads:

• PDF mail merge privacy details
• Bulk QR code generator privacy details (for example, Wi-Fi passwords typed into the tool are never saved)
• PDF to Excel converter privacy details (for example, passwords for protected PDFs are only used to open the file and are never stored)

Information collected when you visit

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to keep the site running and secure. We also count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies or browser storage and doesn't identify you or follow you across sites: it records the page visited, the site you came from, your browser and device type, your country and how quickly the page loaded. Your files are never part of it. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

The site's headings use the Plus Jakarta Sans typeface, which is served from this site itself, so no third party sees your visit. It is used under the SIL Open Font License.

Advertising and cookies

We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show adverts. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Because your documents never reach us, we hold almost no personal information. You can ask us for a copy, correction or deletion of anything we do hold, such as an email you sent, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is a general-purpose office tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK).

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above.
