Privacy policy

Effective: 17 September 2026

In short: the files and text you put into the QR code tool are processed only in your own browser and are never sent to us or anyone else. The site remembers your tool settings in your browser. The site is funded by advertising, which may use cookies – see Advertising for how that works and how to opt out.

This policy explains what information is handled when you use Make in Bulk at makeinbulk.com (“the site”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@makeinbulk.com.

1. Files and data you use in the tool

When you upload a spreadsheet, paste text or type into the QR code tool, that information is processed by JavaScript running in your browser, on your device. The QR codes, previews, ZIP files and PDFs are created locally and saved by your browser. None of this content is transmitted to our servers or to any third party, and we have no way to see it.

Your uploaded files and pasted data are not stored: they are held in the page’s memory only while it is open and are gone when you close or reload the tab.

2. Settings stored in your browser

To save you setting the tool up again, your choices – such as the content type, templates, column mappings, colours, sizes and label layout – are saved in your browser’s local storage (a small storage area on your device that websites can use). This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. It may include text you typed directly into the tool’s fields, such as a fixed company name. Wi-Fi passwords typed directly into the password field (rather than taken from a column) are not saved.

You can remove saved settings at any time with Reset all settings on this page at the bottom of the tool, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

3. Components loaded from a public CDN

Some parts of the tool – the QR encoder, spreadsheet reader, ZIP builder and PDF builder – are open-source libraries that your browser downloads from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net), a public content delivery network, when they are first needed. As with any web request, jsDelivr and its network providers receive your IP address and standard browser information when these files are downloaded. We configure these requests not to send the address of the page you are on, and no content from your files or the tool is ever included. See the jsDelivr privacy policy for details.

4. Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider may automatically record technical information about requests to the site, such as IP address, date and time, the page requested, referring page and browser type. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure and are kept only as long as needed for that purpose. We do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own.

5. Advertising and cookies

The site is free because it shows advertising. We use, or may use, Google AdSense to display ads. The site itself does not set cookies, but when ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, to limit how often you see an ad, and to prevent fraud.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Google may also show non-personalised ads, which use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting and combating fraud and abuse.
  • Where other third-party vendors or ad networks serve ads through Google’s platform, they may also use cookies for these purposes.

You can learn more in Google’s explanation of how Google uses cookies in advertising and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Ads never have access to the content of the QR code tool: your files and text stay in your browser as described above.

6. Your choices about ads

  • You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The QR code tool keeps working if you do.
  • Where the law requires it – for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland – you will be asked for your consent before cookies are used for personalised advertising, and you can change your choice later through the privacy or consent link provided with that message.

7. Legal basis (EEA and UK visitors)

Because your spreadsheet data never leaves your device, we do not process it. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Personalised advertising cookies are used only with your consent where consent is required; non-personalised ads are shown on the basis of legitimate interest in funding the site. You have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you and to complain to your data protection authority; as we hold almost none, most requests will concern the advertising choices above.

8. Children

The site is a general-purpose business tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information – for example by adding a new advertising partner – we will update this page and the effective date above.
